AJ Styles will be facing off against Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble. This will be for Bryan’s WWE Championship.
This is certainly going to be an interesting match. It looks like AJ Styles will be on the receiving end of a big push moving forward. This comes after a couple of recent segments with Vince McMahon, who wants him to become the ‘real’ version of AJ Styles.
On the other hand, it doesn’t seem like Daniel Bryan will be dropping the belt anytime soon. He has found some momentum with his ‘new’ Daniel Bryan persona.
So what is going to happen in this match? Let’s speculate a little bit.
I have a feeling that we are going to see AJ Styles lose to Daniel Bryan at the Rumble. Like I said before, it doesn’t seem like Bryan will be losing the belt anytime soon. While saying that, I think that WWE has a plan to protect Styles in the loss.
My gut says that someone is going to attack Styles at the Rumble. This would allow Bryan to retain the Title. It would protect Styles from losing clean and would get the ball rolling for Styles’ feud at Wrestlemania 35.
My early guess is that Randy Orton will cost Styles. This could make sense as Styles pinned Orton in the fatal 5-way match a few weeks ago to earn the match against Bryan. A Styles vs Orton match is something that has been floating around the rumor mill for Wrestlemania 35.
Regardless of who it is, I think someone costs Styles the match at the Rumble. It will be interesting to see if Vince McMahon stays involved in this storyline moving forward. Should be fun to see it play out.
