WWE recently added to their ‘hidden gems’ section on the WWE Network. They added the American Wrestling Association [AWA] Christmas shows from 1981 and 1982.
It turns out that WWE has edited some matches out of both of these shows.
According to a report from F4WOnline, Matches involving Buck Zumhofe were edited out of both shows.
For those who don’t know, Zumhofe was sentenced to more than 25 years in prison back in 2014 for molesting a close female relative over many years.
Zumhofe was a mainstay of the AWA in the 1980’s. He competed on both the 1981 and 1982 Christmas shows.
WWE also mistakenly put two matches from the 1981 event on the 1982 card. Those matches were Nick Bockwinkel vs. Billy Robinson and Hulk Hogan & Tito Santana vs. Ken Patera & Bobby Duncum.
Are you okay with WWE editing these matches out? Let us know in the comment section below.
In other news, here is the latest rumor on the Wrestlemania 35 main event.
I’m perfectly okay with them removing that. It’s better that they edited it out before someone did their research and tweeted that WWE put a match involving a known sex offender on the network.
