WWE ran two shows in Saudi Arabia in 2018. We saw the Greatest Royal Rumble event back in April. We also saw Crown Jewel in early November.
WWE took a lot of heat for going to Saudi Arabia but it doesn’t look like that will be stopping them.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), WWE has two more Saudi Arabia events planned in 2019.
Meltzer says that WWE currently has dates in May and November booked for Saudi Arabia shows.
These likely won’t be announced for as long as possible to keep any heat away from them.
Meltzer adds that bonuses have come in for talent from the last show in Saudi Arabia. He says that some wrestlers were happy with what they got, others were not.
