Theory On The Locations Of The Next Few Wrestlemania Events

If you are like me, you are always curious about where future Wrestlemania events are going to be held. I have a theory that I wanted to pass your way about some of the potential locations for Wrestlemania 36 (and beyond).

The key word is theory, so don’t take it as anything more than that.

This theory came to me while writing up a story about the 8 cities that recently got XFL teams. Let me explain.

My theory is that WWE is going to give the next few Wrestlemania events to some of the cities that agreed to have an XFL team. I think that Vince McMahon might have made a deal behind closed doors that if a city agreed to take on a team for his league, they would be the favorites to host one of the next few Wrestlemania events.

Think about it. If you are Vince McMahon and you want one of these big cities to compete in your league, why not use a future Wrestlemania event as leverage? It was reported recently that Wrestlemania 34 generated $175 million in economic development for New Orleans. The event is clearly a big money-maker for host cities and I could see Vince using it in negotiations.

The cities that got an XFL team are Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey, St. Louis, Seattle, Tampa Bay, and Washington, D.C. I think that we can reasonably exclude New York/New Jersey and Dallas as they have hosted recent Wrestlemania events. That would leave my theory with 6 remaining cities.

I would not be surprised to see Wrestlemania hosted in Houston, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Seattle, Tampa or Washington over the next few years. If they do, we can reasonably guess that the XFL probably had something to do with it.

Do you agree or disagree with my theory? Let me know in the comment section below.
