Heath Slater was forced to face off against Rhyno on RAW this week. The winner would get to stay on RAW, while the loser was fired. Slater ended up winning the match with a roll-up, meaning that Rhyno is now finished with the red brand.
After the match, Baron Corbin told Slater that he has a new role on RAW as a referee.
So where is this storyline going? I have a theory that I wanted to share.
I have a feeling that Corbin is going to end up regretting his decision at TLC.
My guess is that the referee is going to be knocked out during the match at TLC between Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman. Guess who is going to run in to be the new referee for the match? That’s right, Heath Slater.
Slater will end up costing Corbin the match. He has plenty of motive since Corbin fired his tag team partner Rhyno and also demoted him to be a referee. This would obviously start a feud between Corbin and Slater on RAW moving forward.
I think that this could be a fun way where Corbin finally gets what he deserves. One of his power-hungry decisions ends up costing him his job as the acting RAW General Manager. This would also be a fun storyline and babyface push for Slater.
