Braun Strowman was the victim of a vicious assault on this past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Braun was attacked by Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre. The trio targeted the arm of Strowman and the segment ended with him saying that he couldn’t feel his fingers.
Later on RAW, Michael Cole announced that Strowman suffered a “shattered elbow” during the attack. A report after RAW went off the air revealed that this was really done as a way for Strowman to get some surgery done to remove bone spurs in his elbow.
We have the latest update for you on Strowman’s status.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Strowman’s surgery is scheduled for this upcoming Monday in Birmingham, Alabama.
The hope right now is that Strowman’s recovery time will be minimal. It is believed right now that WWE is going to be able to work around it and he will still be good to go for the TLC PPV. This will depend on how the surgery goes on Monday but WWE is hopeful right now that he will be good to go for TLC.
Strowman is still scheduled to face Baron Corbin at the event. If Strowman wins, he gets a Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble against Brock Lesnar.
The idea of the injury angle was to put over Corbin as a bigger threat heading into the match. Braun will also look like a beast returning from a “shattered elbow” in only a few weeks.
We will let you know if we hear anything more on Braun’s status over the next several days.
