This week’s episode of Smackdown Live took place In Los Angeles. The show ended with a match between Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton. Orton ended up destroying Rey and ripping off his mask to end the episode.
So what happened after the show went off the air? It turns out that fans in attendance received a really fun dark match.
Daniel Bryan and the Miz faced off after the show went off the air for the WWE Championship. The roles were apparently reversed in this one, with the Miz as the babyface and Bryan as the heel. Below are some Tweets from fans in attendance:
Why wasn’t this on Smackdown Live @wwe @WWEUniverse this was to good for a dark match! This was AWESOME!!! The @mikethemiz was 🔥 pic.twitter.com/WG4Tt4PTys

Ok, this Miz vs Bryan dark match was so surreal. They just did a complete role reversal with Miz stealing all of Bryan’s moves actually having a tremendous payoff. I hope that match ends up getting released online or on a DVD.

After the match, the Miz cut a promo thanking the crowd. He received a huge ovation. Here is a clip:
The hometown boy (by the way of (all places) Ohio) was cheered so hard. Not even Rey was cheered that hard, and this was @mikethemiz being cheered in a dark match. Thanks for this, best GM ever, @RealPaigeWWE! #SDLive pic.twitter.com/ATlkA2BIHT
