The entire landscape of Smackdown has changed over the past few days. Becky Lynch got injured, forcing her out of Survivor Series (and possibly beyond). Daniel Bryan not only won the WWE Championship from AJ Styles but also turned heel in the process.
It turns out that these recent changes have scrapped a match that was planned for the TLC PPV, which takes place in December.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Daniel Bryan and the Miz were originally scheduled to have their blow-off match at the TLC PPV event in San Jose.
With the heel turn and Title win from Daniel Bryan, that match is no longer going to be happening at TLC.
We are now heading towards AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan at TLC for the WWE Championship. Meltzer says that there will also be a stipulation involved.
This isn’t the only TLC match that has changed over the past few weeks. We were originally supposed to get Braun Strowman vs Drew McIntyre at TLC. This has changed to Braun vs Baron Corbin.
