Big Change Is Reportedly Being Made To NXT Takeover: WarGames II

NXT Takeover WarGames II takes place Saturday in Los Angeles. There are four confirmed matches for the card. This includes the eight-man WarGames match, Velveteen Dream vs Tommaso Ciampa, Aleister Black vs Johnny Gargano, and Kairi Sane vs Shayna Baszler.

It turns out that WWE is making a big change to this Takeover event.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, as of right now, the plan is NOT to add another match to the card. Matt Riddle vs Kassius Ohno will be taped prior to the show starting and will air on a later episode of NXT.

That means Takeover: WarGames II will feature four matches instead of the usual five. According to Meltzer, this is because the four matches on the card are expected to get a significant amount of time.

This will be a big change for Takeover events. The past several events have all featured five matches.
