Kevin Owens was written out of WWE storylines a few weeks ago on Monday Night RAW. Owens was attacked by Bobby Lashley after their match. This included Lashley wrapping Owens’ legs around the ring post.
It turns out that Owens needed surgery on both of his knees.
On Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Dave Meltzer provided an update on how long Owens is expected out after getting double-knee surgery.
Here is what he said (quote via Ringside News):
“The damage in his left knee is worse than expected but they’re hopeful late February or early March return. so that’s the timetable for what it is. He didn’t have full-blown reconstructive surgery on either of his knees but it was serious — his left knee especially.”
The good news is that Owens didn’t have full-blown reconstructive surgery. The bad news is that he is still going to be out for a few months.
This would put him in line with a return at the same time as Sami Zayn. Zayn hoped to return from injury prior to Wrestlemania 35.
We wish KO a speedy recovery! We will let you know about his recovery as updates become available.
