The major topic right now in WWE news is the upcoming Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. The show still seems to be going on as planned, even though WWE has been catching some mainstream heat over the past few days.
A new report suggests that it isn’t just some fans who are uncomfortable with the idea of WWE doing business with Saudi Arabia right now.
According to a report from Sports Illustrated, multiple WWE stars have “expressed discomfort with the idea of performing in Saudi Arabia”. There are no names mentioned.
If you are skeptical, this report is corroborated by Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, who Tweeted that he has heard the same thing:
Can confirm I’ve been told the same thing by multiple people in the company, which is what I was saying here over the weekend: https://t.co/Q5UgSd57Ns https://t.co/ojhYK51OGp

The vibe prior to WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble was VERY different than it is before the upcoming Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. Sounds like this situation surrounding the reported murder of Jamal Khashoggi and how the last trip played out has people dreading going.

As noted prior, WWE has removed Saudi Arabia from most of the advertising for the event.
