News broke over the past few days that the WWE Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia will be switching venues. The show was originally announced for the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh. This has a capacity of over 68,000.
In a press release, WWE announced that the event will now be taking place at the King Saud University Stadium, which has a capacity of about 25,000.
So why the downgrade?
According to NoDQ, the King Fahd International Stadium will be undergoing some construction during the time of the WWE Crown Jewel event. As a result, this forced WWE to change their plans.
According to the report, two football matches have already been moved to the King Saud University Stadium for this exact same reason.
