Roman Reigns will put his WWE Universal Championship on the line at Hell in a Cell against his longtime rival, Braun Strowman. This match will take place inside of the Hell in a Cell structure and will feature Mick Foley as the special guest referee.
So what is going to happen in this match and who is going to win? Let’s speculate a little bit here.
To start, I think that it is a pretty fair assumption that this will be the main event of the PPV. Based on the storyline build alone, this seems like a pretty safe bet to go on last. This will also likely be a very good match as Reigns and Strowman have some strong chemistry with one another. They have put on some fun matches in the past and Strowman has improved since their last big feud.
So Who Is Going To Win?
I think that Roman Reigns is going to end up retaining here and I will explain to you why. First off, I don’t think that WWE had Reigns chase the Title for 2 straight years just to end his Title reign so quickly. My guess is that Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins find a way to interfere in the match. I could see them cutting open the cell wall or something else to get inside of the ring to help Roman. Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler will come out to join them and it will be bedlam inside of the cell. Reigns will end up capitalizing with all of the distractions for the victory.
I think that WWE is setting us up for a ‘winner takes all’ match at Survivor Series. That will mean the winning faction will walk away as the Universal, Intercontinental and RAW Tag Team Champions. As a result, I think the belt will be staying on Reigns until that event. This finish will be a way to continue the storyline between the two factions. It will also protect Strowman a bit here since it will not be a clean finish. I am not sure how Mick Foley plays into things here but I can’t see him taking any big bumps.
That’s the best that I can think of right now. I really don’t think Strowman will be walking out as Champion though. What about you? Do you agree or disagree with me? Let me know in the comment section.
On a related note, here is our speculation on Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton.
