Here are 9 booking steps for the Smackdown Women’s Championship picture from now until Wrestlemania 35. This is what we think could happen over the next several months.
Step 1) Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship (CONFIRMED)
– WWE Evolution
Charlotte vs Becky has been confirmed for WWE Evolution. This will be a Last Woman Standing match for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. This is actually the first-ever Last Woman Standing match on the WWE main roster.
This should be a really fun match. This has a very strong argument to be the main event of the PPV.
I think that we are going to see no more screwy finishes. Becky is going to win the match clean here to retain. It will be one heck of a match though.
Match Result: Becky retains the Title.
Step 2) Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey In A Champion vs Champion Match
– WWE Survivor Series
I am guessing that WWE is going to do Champion vs Champion matches at Survivor Series again this year. As a result, the RAW Women’s Champion will face off against the Smackdown Women’s Champion at the event.
A safe prediction is that Ronda Rousey will still be the RAW Women’s Champion at this point. I don’t see her dropping the belt anytime soon. As I mentioned above, I have Becky retaining the belt at Evolution, so she will be Smackdown Women’s Champion heading into the event.
As for the match itself, I think that it will be a lot of fun. This is a match that I am really excited to see as both Ronda and Becky are extremely talented. I think that their in-ring styles would mesh well and I would love to see it happen.
Match Result: Ronda probably wins to remain unbeaten.
Step 3) Becky Lynch vs Nikki Cross for the Smackdown Women’s Championship
– WWE TLC
After Survivor Series, the next WWE PPV event is TLC. I have a bit of a bold prediction. I think that Nikki Cross will have been officially called up to main roster before 2018 is over. She will be joining the Smackdown brand, who I think could use her.
I think Nikki vs Becky would be a really great feud for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. This would be something fresh for Becky and I think that her and Nikki would work well together.
As for the match itself, it will end with some sort of a screwy finish. This extends the feud but Becky remains as Champion.
Match Result: The match ends in a disqualification, Becky retains the Title.
