Rumor On The New Creative Direction For Becky Lynch

The hot topic of conversation about WWE right now is Becky Lynch and her recent heel turn. After the past few weeks, it seems pretty clear that WWE fans don’t want to boo Becky in her current storyline with Charlotte Flair. This was obvious this past week when Becky attacked Charlotte from behind to a massive pop and it was Charlotte who ended up getting booed at the end.

A new rumor sheds some light on WWE’s creative direction for Becky moving forward.

John Pollock of POST Wrestling says that he was told after Smackdown that the creative direction has been slightly changed for Becky and Charlotte moving forward.

Based on the crowd reaction, WWE is not going with the traditional heel-babyface storyline anymore. Instead, it is going to be about two ex-best friends who think that they are both right in the situation and won’t back down from one another.

In other words, neither Becky or Charlotte will be portrayed as the traditional heel or babyface in this storyline.

Our take: This makes sense based on Smackdown this week. Becky didn’t get on the mic and insult the crowd like she did the last week. She just told Charlotte that she was going to take her Title and called her a bitch. If WWE was still pushing her as a heel, I think that we would have heard her trying to insult the crowd again in that spot. I am really digging Becky with this new attitude and I hope that they keep it going. This storyline has a lot of potential and Becky is on fire right now.

  1. I am absolutely more than okay with this plan. It’s about time somebody in WWE realized it is alright to think outside the box. Cookie cutter characters get boring real fast. This is fresh, and both women sound like they really believe what they’re saying. More, please, more!
