Rey Mysterio is a name who has been rumored for a while now to make a full return to WWE. Fans have seen a little bit of him, including appearances at the Royal Rumble event in January and the Greatest Royal Rumble event in April.
We have the latest news to pass your way on Rey Mysterio’s future with WWE.
According to Mike Johnson on PWInsider Elite Audio, Rey is expected to return to WWE over the next several weeks.
Here is a quote (via Ringside News):
“I don’t know if it’s part-time or full-time but within the next month or so Rey Mysterio will indeed be back in WWE.”
Rey will be working the ‘All-In’ event on September 1st and that looks to be his last major commitment before potentially returning to WWE.
My own personal guess is that he will compete at the WWE Super Show-Down event in Australia in October. I have him in the WWE Championship match at the event [you can check out my predictions here].
