Erick Rowan Injury Update

News broke on Monday that Erick Rowan of the Bludgeon Brothers was injured during the Smackdown Tag Team Championship match at Summerslam. Rowan missed WWE’s live event on Monday in Atlantic City to get evaluated.

On Smackdown Live, Rowan and Harper lost the Smackdown Tag Team Championships to the New Day.

It turns out that Rowan is legitimately injured and it is bad news.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the word backstage is that Rowan will be heading to Birmingham, Alabama this week for surgery. This will be in order to repair a bicep tear.

Rowan did wrestle the entire match but his arm was taped up. With the way he went through the guardrail, it looks like that was the way WWE chose to write him off WWE television. Props to him for wrestling the match while injured.

Drew McIntyre was out with a torn bicep recently and it kept him out of action for around 5 months. We will let you know when we hear anything more on Rowan. Sending our best wishes to him!

In other news, here are our early predictions for Wrestlemania 35.
