Finn Balor was recently interviewed by Sky Sports. During the interview, Balor expressed that he doesn’t think that Roman Reigns gets all of the credit that he deserves for his all-around contribution to the wrestling business.
Here is what Balor said about fan criticism towards Reigns:
“I don’t get it, He’s probably one of the hardest working people in WWE, he looks great, he’s professional, a great talker and behind everything, a great person.”
He’s great behind the scenes, he will help you with anything you want and he’s always polite. He was great to me when I first came into WWE and he continues to help me today. I can’t speak of anything but greatness for Roman Reigns, he’s one of the all-time greats.”
“I think it’s monkey do as monkey see and people are easily led. They might read what one person has written in a newsletter, decide that person’s right, and then jump on the bandwagon.
That’s what’s happened with Roman. People are very fickle – I remember when The Shield were doing their thing and everyone was behind Roman; he was the coolest guy in The Shield. Opinions change in this business and they forget the past but Roman ain’t sweating it.”

On a related note, here are several more WWE stars who have defended Roman against criticism from fans.
Last Monday on RAW during the Roman vs Finn Balor match for the Universal title, Roman saved Finn from a career-ending blow: when Finn performed his suicide dive on Roman he was just about to land on his neck, break his neck and end his career but Roman caught him just in time. Had Roman not been there to catch him Finn’s wrestling career would be over https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/4145624ba1db23cb2e8435cd301a3ed3945f3b7297e507f6b8c61aabf20cb97b.jpg
