Brock Lesnar will face off against Roman Reigns at Summerslam. This will be for the WWE Universal Championship. This will now mark the fourth time that Reigns and Lesnar have faced off in a singles match. So what is going to happen in the match and who will win? Let’s speculate a little bit here.
Regardless of how you feel about Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns, I think that most of us can agree on one thing. Brock’s Title reign has run its course and the Universal Championship needs a change of hands.
It does seem that we are heading that way. It looks like Brock will be heading to the UFC to fight Daniel Cormier in a couple of months. Fans have already noticed a change in Brock’s physique after he started getting tested by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) again.
As for Summerslam, I think the obvious prediction is that Reigns will defeat Lesnar to become the new Champion. There have been many rumors about a potential cash-in from Braun Strowman/ Kevin Owens. While that still could happen on Sunday night, I think it is more likely that WWE just has Reigns defeat Lesnar on Sunday. I don’t think you build up Brock’s Title reign for this long unless he goes out with a pinfall loss to Reigns.
As for the night after Summerslam on RAW, that is where things will get interesting. I think we will see Brock use his rematch clause for the Universal Championship since he is being advertised to appear on the show. That will set up Reigns vs Lesnar in the main event of RAW. My gut says that is where we will see some fireworks. I think that a cash-in will happen from Braun Strowman or Kevin Owens (whoever is holding the contract). Brock heads off to the UFC and this sets up Reigns’ next feud for Hell in a Cell (with whoever cashed in on him).
In nutshell, Roman gets his moment at Summerslam by defeating Brock. A cash-in doesn’t happen until RAW on the night after.
