We have some injury updates to pass your way about a handful of NXT Superstars. These updates come from Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here).
– Bobby Fish’s return is looking to be around November or December. Fish suffered a torn ACL and torn MCL in his knee back in early March.
– Ricochet has been hurt for a little while now and has only worked a handful of TV matches over the past 6 weeks. Meltzer says that he was told the injury isn’t too serious but they just wanted to give him a chance to heal up before NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. He is still scheduled for Takeover against Adam Cole for the NXT North American Championship.
– Four Horsewomen member Jessamyn Duke was supposed to make her in-ring debut at an NXT live event several days ago. She didn’t end up wrestling though. Meltzer says that she is “a little hurt”. It doesn’t appear to be anything serious though.
– NXT UK Superstar Travis Banks suffered a dislocated shoulder a few weeks ago. Now wrestlers under contract to the WWE UK division are no longer allowed to wrestle for a seven-day period prior to any WWE shows that they are booked on.
– Meltzer also confirmed the reports from Wednesday that Aleister Black will be missing Takeover: Brooklyn.
We will let you know if we hear anything more on NXT injuries.
