Speculation On Who Will Be The Next Call-Ups From NXT

An interesting part of NXT is seeing who will get called up to the main roster next. Who is next on the list to join RAW or Smackdown Live? Let’s speculate a little bit.

Let’s start with the obvious. I think it is pretty clear that Nikki Cross is getting called up to the main roster. Although it hasn’t been made official, she has been wrestling at main roster live events and even appeared on TV during the announcement for WWE Evolution. She is a lock.

The rest of the Women’s division is a bit tricky. I could see Shayna Baszler losing the Title and getting called up in early 2019. I have a feeling that WWE will want her on the main roster for future storylines alongside Ronda Rousey. Maybe the Women’s Rumble match is the place where she is called up?

With Aleister Black losing the NXT Championship to Tommaso Ciampa, I think that could indicate a call-up soon. To me, Black is ready for the main roster. He is extremely talented in the ring and his character is something that I think will go over well with main roster fans. My guess is that he could be called up before 2018 is over. At the latest, he seems like a possible Royal Rumble entrant in 2019.

I don’t see anyone from the Undisputed Era getting called up anytime soon. I think they will wait until Bobby Fish’s knee is completely healed and will bring them up as an entire faction. Seems more like after Wrestlemania 35 to me. They all have the talent to be called up but I think WWE will wait until the right time.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are also unclear. They clearly have the talent to be on the main roster already but I think there is still story to tell between them. I am guessing that they are still a few NXT Takeover events away.
