WWE’s first all-women’s PPV event will take place on October 28th. The event will feature stars from both the past, present, and future. We decided to take an early stab at what the card will look like. Here are our early WWE Evolution 2018 predictions on matches that we think will happen. If a match has already been officially confirmed, we choose the winner instead.
WWE Evolution 2018 Predictions
To start, I think that we will see WWE have a tournament to determine the first-ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. I think there will be two semi-finals matches on the card and also the finals match later on in the show. Below are my semi-finals match predictions.
12) The IIconics vs LayCool
– WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament Semi-Finals
If there is a Women’s tag team division, I have to think that the IIconics are serious candidates to walk away as the inaugural Champions. Their gimmick is perfect for a tag team division and I see them having plenty of success as a team.
My guess is that WWE could bring back Michelle McCool and Layla for the event. I think them facing off against the IIconics could be a lot of fun and a nice passing of the torch type of match.
Winner Prediction: The IIconics win to advance to the finals.
11) Sasha Banks and Bayley vs Beth Phoenix and Natalya
– WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament Semi-Finals
I was initially on the side that thought Sasha and Bayley were going to break up. It now feels like WWE is keeping them together for the eventual Women’s tag team division. Now that it looks like they are staying together, I expect them to be serious candidates to walk out as Champions.
As for their semi-finals opponents, I think that a fun team for them to face would be Natalya and Beth Phoenix. These two are best friends in real life and it would fun to see them team up together. I think that this could be a really good tag team match.
Winner Prediction: Bayley and Sasha win to advance to the finals.
10) Battle Royal
– Whoever doesn’t get on the card, plus some female talent from the past
There are inevitably going to be a lot of female talent who aren’t able to get big matches at the event. As a result, I see WWE doing some sort of battle royal featuring past, present, and future female stars.
Stephanie McMahon did say that there will be 50 women participating in the event so it seems like a battle royal is a lock.
If you don’t see the name of your favorite on the rest of our match predictions, I have them in the battle royal. It sucks but not everyone is going to be able to get a big-time match at the event. A battle royal would provide a few fun moments between some of the current roster and WWE legends that you normally wouldn’t get to see. Also, it will be great experience for some NXT stars.
Winner Prediction: Mandy Rose wins
