WWE Extreme Rules 2018 Rumors And Potential Spoilers
14) A Few WWE Stars Working Through Injuries Right Now
There a few WWE stars who are currently working through injuries. These names are:
– Bray Wyatt was in a car accident a few weeks ago where he suffered multiple injuries. It will be interesting to keep an eye on how much Bray works in the RAW tag team title match on Sunday night.
– Shinsuke Nakamura is coming off of an injured leg. He was bitten in the leg by a police dog last week, which caused him to miss several WWE live events. The good news is that he was able to return and wrestle on Smackdown this week.
– Jeff Hardy is reportedly working through a couple of injuries. Jeff is apparently dealing with a leg injury and he is also battling a nerve injury that has caused numbness in his fingers. He has apparently been working through both of these for a while.
13) The Original Plans For Andrade Almas At Extreme Rules
The rumor making the rounds is that Andrade Almas was originally supposed to have a high-profile match at Extreme Rules. The rumor is that he was going to be the one to face Jeff Hardy for the United States Championship at the event.
The rumor suggests that WWE decided to switch Almas to Shinsuke Nakamura instead. WWE had plans to give Nakamura a short run with the WWE Title but eventually scrapped the idea. As a result of that, Nakamura was moved down to the U.S Title picture to feud with Hardy.
Almas has been pushed to the sidelines for the moment.
12) Why Charlotte Flair Is Missing The Event
We know one big name that will be missing the Extreme Rules PPV event. A recent report suggests that Charlotte Flair had surgery to repair a ruptured breast implant. This is something that she has been dealing with for a few months now and has finally decided to get it fixed.
WWE hasn’t announced that Charlotte is injured but it makes sense considering that she hasn’t been on TV since Money in the Bank. The report suggests that Charlotte will be back in time for the build to Summerslam. That means probably a week or two after Extreme Rules.
Don’t count on Charlotte interfering in any match on Sunday night.
11) AJ Styles’ Title Reign
AJ Styles will be defending his WWE Championship against Rusev at Extreme Rules. There is a rumor making the rounds about Styles’ current Title reign that we wanted to pass your way.
A local affiliate website in San Antonio is advertising AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe in a Hell in a Cell match at the event. Also, a graphic is making the rounds that suggest Styles vs Joe will be happening for the WWE Title at Summerslam.
The card is always subject to change but this supports another rumor making the rounds about Styles. The rumor is that WWE will be keeping the belt on him over the next few months to help sell more copies of WWE 2k19 (since he is on the cover).
Time will tell on this one. Doesn’t look good for Rusev becoming WWE Champion though.
