17 Things That We Learned From RAW – May 21, 2018

1) Stephanie McMahon Returned

Monday Night RAW this week kicked off with Kurt Angle. He was almost immediately interrupted by Stephanie McMahon. Fans haven’t seen Stephanie since the RAW after Wrestlemania 34 where she was locked into an armbar from Ronda Rousey.

The Boss is officially back.

2) Did Stephanie McMahon Make A ‘Being The Elite’ Reference?

Stephanie told Kurt that their past beef is “water under the bridge”. This phrase may be familiar to some wrestling fans as it is the episode title of the Young Bucks’ ‘Being The Elite’ episode that dropped today.

Likely a coincidence but still fun to point out:

3) Jinder Mahal Got Some Revenge On Roman Reigns

Kevin Owens ended up interrupting the opening segment between Roman Reigns and Stephanie McMahon. This led to a match being made between Roman and Owens. After a lengthy match, it ended by disqualification. This came after Jinder Mahal interfered and attacked Roman.

This was revenge from last week when Roman attacked Jinder backstage and cost him his spot in the Money in the Bank qualifier. Jinder also hit Roman with a chair after their tag team match. It is clear that this feud is far from over.

4) No Open Challenge This Week

Seth Rollins ended up making the save for Roman Reigns after he was being attacked by Jinder Mahal and Kevin Owens. This led to a tag team match. This was a letdown as many fans including myself were hoping for another Seth Rollins open challenge.
