WWE RAW April 16 2018 Results – 21 Things That We Learned

This page will be your place for results from the April 16th, 2018 episode of Monday Night RAW. We do things a little differently than other websites. We mix the match results in with storyline speculation, funny moments and future predictions. Also, we like to include pictures, tweets, and/or videos to give our readers the best experience. The goal is to give our readers the best possible recap.

1) Jinder Mahal Is Now A Member Of RAW (And So Is The United States Championship).

Monday Night RAW this week kicked off with Kurt Angle. Angle was interrupted by Samir Singh, who announced that Jinder Mahal is now a member of the RAW roster. That also means the U.S Title has changed brands.

A big change for both RAW and Smackdown Live!

2) New United States Champion!

Jinder was forced to defend his United States Championship against Jeff Hardy in the first match of the night. After a lengthy match, Jeff would go on to hit the Swanton Bomb for the win!

Jeff Hardy is our new United States Champion.

3) With The Win, Jeff Hardy Is Now A Grand Slam Winner!

The United States Championship was the only Title that Jeff Hardy needed to become a Grand Slam Champion under the new format (he was already a grand slam champion under the old rules).

Congratulations to Jeff! A pretty big accomplishment.

4) New Match Confirmed For The Greatest Royal Rumble

Jinder Mahal immediately announced his rematch for the Greatest Royal Rumble event. It will be Jeff Hardy vs Jinder Mahal for the United States Championship.

Should be fun.

5) Sasha Banks Covered Up A Botch Pretty Nicely

Sasha Banks faced off against Bayley in the second match of the night. There was a botch to start off the match as Bayley slipped coming off the ropes. Sasha transitioned well out of it though with almost instant knees to the gut. A nice save.

You can watch the botch and the recovery here:
