Rumors Of The Day (February 25, 2018)
– As noted prior, it looks like Wrestlemania 35 will be held at Metlife Stadium. So why hasn’t WWE made the official announcement? According to the Backstage in WWE With Brad Shepard and Jon Fisher podcast (h/t to Ringside News), it is due to WWE not yet having a venue locked down for some of the weekend’s events:
“AXXESS was at the Izod Center for Wrestlemania 29 and that’s been shut down so it can’t be there. So they would have to find a different venue in the area and that can be a little tricky. Basically selecting a venue for AXXESS, The Hall of Fame, or RAW and SmackDown. It’s one of those shows that they are selecting a venue for that is likely the delay. I am told it has nothing to do with the actual MetLife stadium.”
– WWE made a slight change to the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic bracket. TM61 vs. the Authors of Pain was moved to the left side of the bracket while SAnitY vs. Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss was moved to the right side.
– Alicia Fox teased a return on Instagram. She posted: “time to get back to business”. She was forced to miss the first-ever Women’s Rumble match due to injury.
