Sasha Banks was recently a guest on the Steve Austin Show podcast where she spoke on a wide variety of topics. One of these topics was about the ‘Ratchet’ chants that she used to receive in NXT.
Fans would chant “Sasha’s Ratchet” during matches. As time went on, it started to become a dueling chant between: “Sasha’s Ratchet” and “No She’s Not”.
So what was Sasha’s reaction when fans started chanting this at her? At first, she thought that it was something else:
“I did notice a difference when I was wrestling… I had a match against Emma and they were chanting ‘ratchet’ and I thought they were saying ‘rat sh*t’ and it was really the first chant I ever got at NXT because before that I got nothing.”
Sasha continued:
“The following month they kept chanting and chanting and I’m like, ‘this is cool! This is wrestling! Yay!'”
Sasha went on to become very successful in both NXT and the WWE main roster.
