News broke on Wednesday morning that James Ellsworth had been released by WWE. Ellsworth recently wrestled Becky Lynch on Smackdown Live and also split with Carmella.
Ellsworth burst into WWE as a jobber in 2016. He was eventually brought back by WWE and signed a contract. He was involved in a lot of Smackdown storylines over the past year, including a few wins against AJ Styles. He also served as Carmella’s sidekick for the past few months.
Ellsworth took to Twitter to comment on his release from WWE. Here is what he said:
