With the sickness to Roman Reigns, WWE chose to bring back Kurt Angle at TLC as a last-minute replacement. Angle wrestled alongside Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins to defeat Braun Strowman, Kane, the Miz, Sheamus & Cesaro. Angle will also be wrestling at Survivor Series as the captain of Team RAW.
The question now becomes, what will happen with Kurt at Wrestlemania 34?
In last weeks Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via 411Mania), Dave Meltzer says that WWE originally had plans in place for Angle to return, likely for Wrestlemania 34. This was before the TLC situation happened and WWE had to bring back Angle to help save the card.
What this does tell us is that there are still likely big plans in place for Kurt at Wrestlemania 34. So who will he face?
The popular theory seems to be that he will wrestle his son: Jason Jordan at the event or be involved in a match with him in some way.
Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio speculated that Stephanie’s recent return to WWE television and tension with Kurt could be setting up a match between Angle and Triple H at Wrestlemania 34. Triple H, Angle and Stephanie have a long history with one another which includes their love triangle storyline in the early 2000’s.
TLC and Survivor Series will be Angle wrestling as a member of a team, instead of a singles match. WWE could save his first singles match for Wrestlemania 34. We will have to wait and see. What do you want to see happen?
