How Long The Shield Reunion Is Expected To Last

The Shield reuniting is one of the biggest stories in WWE at the moment. On the October 9th, 2017 edition of RAW, the Shield officially reformed and look stronger than ever.

Now that they are back together, the question becomes- how long will they stay together this time? Let’s check out some of the latest rumors.

A rumor is floating around from  of Cageside Seats that suggests the reunion of the Shield is not expected to go past the end of the year.

This would mean (if true of course) that the reunion of the Shield will only be a short-term thing.

This does make sense, considering the plans for Wrestlemania 34 that have been rumored for the past several months. Those plans would be Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title. After Lesnar has dominated just about everybody so far, that appears to still be the direction that we are heading. It also goes along with the rumors that the reason why WWE reunited the Shield for TLC was to give the event a boost since it wouldn’t be featuring Brock or John Cena.

This doesn’t mean that TLC will be the only match for the Shield though. WWE could easily have them team up again at Survivor Series and keep the storyline going for a few more months.

It does lead to a few questions about what WWE will do with them in the long-term if they aren’t sticking together. Instead of another massive break-up, they could have them just part ways mutually. This would allow them to form again whenever they are needed.
