Jinder Mahal will defend his WWE Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. This will be a rematch from their clash at Summerslam where interference from the Singh Brothers allowed Jinder to retain his title.
News recently broke that WWE would be touring India in December. As a result, many fans assume that Jinder will be retaining his title again and holding it until those events.
Not so fast….
According to a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live (via Ringside News), there is some advertising that will be of interest for those that want Jinder to drop the belt.
Jinder is apparently being advertised as a “two time WWE Champion” in some ads for the December shows in India. If this is accurate, that would mean Jinder could be losing the title at Hell in a Cell, only to win it back in the next several weeks.
If this is true (and reminder to take rumors with a grain of salt), Jinder could win the title back at Survivor Series or the Starrcade live event in November.
Or, it was a mistake and Jinder will hold onto the WWE Championship until the end of time. We will see on Sunday.
