It was announced a few weeks ago that former Ring of Honor star Lio Rush had signed with WWE. He made his NXT debut at the NXT television taping that happened on Thursday night at Full Sail University.
He was supposed to face Aleister Black but was attacked prior to the match by the Velveteen Dream. Rush and the Velveteen Dream actually started their careers together in Maryland Championship Wrestling (MCW).
Rush would face the Velveteen Dream later in the taping. The match apparently received a great ovation from the crowd. Dream ended up winning. Here are some photos:
