Speculation On Vince McMahon’s Announcement

Last week’s episode of Smackdown Live saw Shane McMahon get suspended indefinitely from his position as Smackdown commissioner. This came after he attacked Kevin Owens for crossing the line and mentioning his family. Owens threatened to sue Shane and WWE over what happened.

It was announced at the very end of Smackdown Live by Daniel Bryan that Vince McMahon was coming to settle the situation.

Here are the latest rumors and speculation that are circulating the web about Vince’s announcement.

A few days ago, Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio  (subscribe here), speculated that the reason why Vince is coming to Smackdown Live will be to announce Shane vs Owens at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View.

He says that it would make sense since Shane isn’t an authority figure (due to the suspension), he can now be a wrestler and put his hands on Owens.

Some fans are also speculating that this match could happen inside of Hell in a Cell. There is no question that Owens and Shane have more bad blood between them than Jinder Mahal and Shisuke Nakamura. As a result, it would make sense for it to be inside of Hell in a Cell. The preview for the Nakamura vs Mahal match on WWE’s website has no mention of it being inside of Hell in a Cell.

We will have to see what happens. Would you be okay with Owens vs Shane happening at Hell in a Cell or is it too early? Reminder to take rumors and speculation with a grain of salt as always.
