14 Things That We Learned From RAW (September 4, 2017)

1) RAW Kicked Off With A Something Rare: A Match

This weeks episode of Monday Night RAW featured a big opening match: John Cena took on Jason Jordan. This came after Jordan requested the match to his father: Kurt Angle prior to RAW going on the air.

The thing of surprise to many fans was that RAW actually opened with a match instead of a promo segment. 9 out of 10 times, RAW seems to open with some sort of promo. This week we got straight to business.

 2) Jason Jordan Seems To Be Missing Something

It has been several weeks since Jason Jordan was revealed as the son of Kurt Angle. The storyline hasn’t exactly been a success so far. I am not sure what the problem is, but it seems that Jason Jordan is missing something.

There is no question that Jordan is a great athlete, but something isn’t clicking with him and the fans haven’t bought into him yet. Maybe that will change, we will have to wait and see:

3) The Crowd Was VERY Behind John Cena

The crowd in Omaha, Nebraska was VERY pro-Cena on RAW this week. There were a lot more “Let’s go Cena” chants than “Cena Sucks”, which WWE fans know isn’t usually the case. Cena would go on to defeat Jason Jordan in the opening match.

It was a surprise (at least to me) to hear such a positive reaction to Cena. Did his promo last week do wonders, or is this just because we are in Omaha?
