One of the best parts of Wrestlemania weekend is always the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. The night is usually fun and full of great stories from the past. Last years Hall of Fame class was headlined by Kurt Angle, which marked his official return to WWE. So who will be the headliner for the class of 2018?
Here are some rumors floating around the web about the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in New Orleans.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), a name that has been discussed as a potential headliner of the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class is Batista.
Meltzer also says that the Undertaker and the Rock will be headliners whenever they want. The ball is in their courts.
As for Batista, hard to deny that his career is worthy of the Hall of Fame. He is a four-time World Heavyweight Champion and two-time WWE Champion. He won the Royal Rumble match twice (2005, 2014). Also, he was a member of ‘Evolution’ alongside Ric Flair, Triple H and Randy Orton (who will likely be inducted one day as a faction).
He has found a ton of success outside of WWE over the past few years. This includes the role of ‘Drax the Destroyer’ in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Could be a smart decision from a mainstream perspective as well.
