Summerslam 2017 Match Card Predictions Based On Rumors

Summerslam 2017 is still over a month away. We thought that we would do our best attempt at booking the match card for the event this year. There are rumors that WWE wants to make Summerslam as big of an event as possible this year. That will likely mean some big-time matches.

Note: We tried to incorporate some rumors going around as well as current feuds. 

Summerslam 2017 match card predictions:

Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar – WWE Universal Championship

• A match that is rumored to be the plan for the event.

John Cena vs Jinder Mahal – WWE Championship

• No real reason why but I think WWE could go this direction

AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura

• Based on rumor that WWE might do this match early.

Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax – RAW Women’s Championship

• Based on a recent rumor.

Randy Orton vs Kevin Owens – WWE United States Championship

• Orton will need a feud after losing to Jinder again at Battleground. Orton vs Owens could work.

Naomi vs Charlotte vs Becky Lynch – Smackdown Women’s Championship

• Think Becky wins the title, only to have Carmella cash in for some mega-heat.

Sasha Banks vs Asuka

• Asuka will likely get called up to the WWE main roster soon and this could be a great first match for her to showcase her talent to fans.

The Miz vs Finn Balor – WWE Intercontinental Championship

• Could be a nice feud for both guys.

The Revival vs The Hardy’s – RAW Tag Team Championships

• There are some rumors going around that Sheamus could be taking some time off soon to film a movie. If so, Hardy’s win the titles and go on to face off against the Revival at Summerslam.

The New Day vs The Usos vs Breezango vs American Alpha – Smackdown Tag Team Championship.

• Toss the top Smackdown tag teams into one match.

Seth Rollins vs Bray Wyatt.  Dean Ambrose vs Samoa Joe

• Two potential undercard matches that WWE could go with to get these 4 on the card.

Still a ton of talent left off the card like: Braun Strowman, Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, Carmella that I don’t even know what to do with.
