On Monday Night RAW this week, it was teased that Roman Reigns had a ‘major’ announcement to make. Reigns will speak next week on RAW and according to Michael Cole, it will be about Summerslam this year.
So what the heck could it be?
Here are some of the latest rumors and speculation on the announcement.
The biggest theory circulating among fans is that this will lead to a match against John Cena at Summerslam. Cena was just advertised as a ‘free agent’ and won’t be Smackdown exclusive anymore.
What if Reigns says he only has one guy left to beat to prove that ALL of WWE is his yard and says he wants John Cena at SummerSlam?

Seems like a perfect fit at first glance.
Another theory is that Reigns will announce his intention to challenge the winner of Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe to a match at Summerslam. It seems unlikely as it was rumored earlier in the year that Reigns vs Brock would be the main event of Wrestlemania 34. Unless Vince changes his mind, it doesn’t seem like this will be the case. Still, this remains a popular theory among fans.

We will have to wait and see what happens. Certainly an intriguing angle. RAW has done a great job over the past few weeks drawing up interest and speculation among fans in some of their storylines. We are leaning towards Cena vs Reigns at Summerslam.
