Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano were unsuccessful in their quest to win the NXT Tag Team Titles at Takeover: Chicago. The team lost their ladder match to the Authors of Pain. What is making headlines is what happened after the match.
Ciampa turned on his tag team partner and best friend Johnny Gargano, turning heel in the process. He would proceed to beat down Gargano to close the show.
Triple H was interviewed after NXT Takeover where he didn’t have good news on Tommaso Ciampa. As noted prior, Ciampa hurt his leg a few days before Takeover.
“I just walked past Tommaso Ciampa who is furious about everything but in the trainers room, with what looks like a significant injury as well”
Triple H saying ‘significant’ is obviously not a great sign here. Let’s hope that he is okay and will only need a few weeks off. Props to him for working through the injury,
