One of the biggest questions that fans had after the Payback Pay-Per-View was where the heck is Brock Lesnar? The ‘Beast Incarnate’ did not defend his WWE Universal title at the event and it doesn’t look like he will be appearing on Monday Night RAW anytime soon.
This was expected by a lot of fans with a part-time Champion, but what is the plan for Brock moving forward?
On the Monday night edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Dave Meltzer spoke about Brock Lesnar and his current run as WWE Universal Champion.
After being asked by his co-host Bryan Alvarez where Brock is, Meltzer says that his first match will probably be in July at the ‘Great Balls of Fire’ Pay-Per-View. WWE could use him in some capacity in June for Extreme Rules, but as of right now it is looking like his first match won’t be until July. It should also be noted that the American Airlines Center is promoting ‘Great Balls Of Fire’ as Brock defending his title for the first time.
Meltzer does say that Brock is expected to be around much more than he was during his previous title reign back in 2014. In case you forget, Brock won the title at Summerslam 2014. He only wrestled 2 matches [in seven months] before losing the title at Wrestlemania 31 to Seth Rollins.

Will be interesting to see what happens. Until July, it looks like WWE will continue to build up the Intercontinental Title and their other feuds. It seems like Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman will again be the focal point.
