The New Day were recently acquired by Smackdown Live in the ‘Superstar Shake-Up’. The trio make their way from Monday Night RAW, where they have achieved a lot over the past year. This includes becoming the longest-reigning tag team champions of all-time.
It also made headlines this past week when WWE announced that Kofi Kingston was injured. Not many details are available right now other than Kofi is recovering after having ankle surgery.
A vignette aired on Smackdown Live this week, advertising that the New Day were ‘coming soon’. So when should WWE fans expect to see them?
According to PWInsider, there is some talk right now that the company might keep the New Day off Smackdown Live until Kofi recovers from injury.
Depending on how long that Kofi takes to heal, this could mean a few more weeks of vignettes before they appear on television.

There are also some rumors that the New Day will be looked at to help carry the Smackdown Live tag team division over the next few months. The division needs a lot of help, considering that it was the only title to be left off the Wrestlemania card this year. Once the New Day make their way to Smackdown, expect them to be around the Tag Team Title scene.
