Wrestlemania 33 was VERY long. Including the kickoff show, the event lasted around 7 hours. This included putting some big names on the kickoff show, such as: Dean Ambrose, Rob Gronkowski, Braun Strowman, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin and many more.
There was 13 matches total at the event, including the main card of Wrestlemania and the kickoff show. Most fans would agree that they were exhausted by the end.
According to a new report, WWE cut a match that was supposed to take place because of time constraints.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Dave Meltzer says that there was a 6-man Cruiserweight match scheduled for the event. The competitors were told that they were going to be on the show, until later on in the day when they were told that their match had been cut from the event.
It is unclear where the match would have taken place but we can assume that it probably would have been the first match of the kickoff show since it didn’t have much hype or storyline surrounding it.
No names are mentioned, but we can assume that it would have been Akira Tozawa, TJ Perkins, Brian Kendrick, Rich Swann, Noam Dar and Mustafa Ali.

Probably a good thing that this match got cut as the event was ridiculously long anyways. Sucks for the Cruiserweight’s who thought that they were going to get a Wrestlemania moment.
