The Authority is a faction that has been the cornerstone of the WWE for the past few years, ranging from Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to people like Seth Rollins, Big Show, Kane, and J&J Security. For the longest time though, many fans were complaining about this faction playing too much of a prominent role on RAW. There are rumors going around that there is a plan for a New Authority headed by Triple H; and it will consist of Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. With talent from “The New Era” in play, let’s take a look at 5 reasons why this could possibly be “best for business.”

5. A Demonstration Of Triple H’s “New Era”

This seems like an extension from NXT in a sense, or they’re staging it as such. Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe both came up from NXT, which in case you don’t know is headed by Triple H. Both men are ex-NXT champions and put on some extraordinary matches with their opponents.

If there is going to be a new Authority on RAW and it will be showcasing the heel characters from “The New Era,” I believe this will be a good booking option as it will put somewhat fresh faces on the main roster. It will also help further progress or kick-start character development for the wrestlers that are working as a heel.

Triple H playing the lead role both on and off-screen will be incredibly instrumental for both Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. While Kevin Owens is an already polished and believable heel, everyone has room for development; being under “The Game’s” wing will help further his development and will offer quick and constructive criticism to allow him to be one of the top heels on RAW. Samoa Joe posing as a hitman for Triple H is going to allow a lot of growth as he is billed as “The Destroyer.” If he is set to keep attacking the babyfaces, it’ll have him get heat with the WWE Universe and make this New Authority seem like a legitimate threat to WWE’s Red Brand.
