There has been a lot of negativity surrounding the potential mixed tag-team match at Wrestlemania 33: John Cena and Nikki Bella vs The Miz and Maryse. Some fans are unhappy with the match-up. Here are 5 reasons why it is best for business.

1) Keeps Cena Out Of The Main Event/ World Title Picture

One of the biggest positives about this potential mixed-tag team match at Wrestlemania 33 is that it keeps John Cena out of the WWE Championship picture.

This is not meant to be an anti-Cena post in the slightest. I just feel like with the talent that Smackdown has right now, the WWE doesn’t need to involve Cena in the WWE Championship picture. He is a 16-time World Champion and has had his time in the main event of Wrestlemania. It is time to let the younger guys on the roster get a chance to shine on the big stage (and make some new stars). Besides, rumors currently have Cena departing from WWE to film a movie after Wrestlemania and he will likely be off TV for a few months. Wouldn’t make much sense to have him in the main event if he was just going to leave for a few months.

If you are a fan of his, the mixed tag still gives Cena a fun Wrestlemania match at the event. If you can’t stand him, take solace that he won’t be in the main event/ title picture.
