Eddie Edwards kicks off the show by saying he is honor to usher in the new year as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Also, stated that TNA was born on competition. Eddie said he had a surprise for Wolves Nation until he is interrupted by Lashley. He says the only surprise is that Eddie is still champion and says 2017 is the year of Lashely and wants his rematch after what went down in Cameron, NC which prompts EC3 to come out and he takes jabs at both Eddie and Lashley. EC3 wants his rematch. Both EC3 and Lashley want their rematches so he makes it a triple threat. Eddie still promises a surprise for later tonight.
