On a recent appearance on the Kevin Gill Show, Kevin Nash revealed that Shawn Michaels was the “Head Of The WWE Performance Center”. This confused many people as Matt Bloom (aka A-Train, Albert and Tensai) has been the head coach of WWE’s Performance Center for the past year or so.
Many didn’t question the source, considering Nash is one of the Heartbreak Kid’s closest friends. It appears as if he wasn’t correct in his claims that Shawn would be running the show.
Triple H recently participated on a media call to promote NXT Takeover: Toronto on Survivor Series weekend. He was asked about Nash’s comments regarding Shawn Michaels running the WWE Performance Center.
Triple H said that was incorrect and Matt Bloom was still the head coach. He joked that sometimes Nash isn’t the most accurate guy.
He mentions that Shawn will be working at the PC, they just aren’t quite sure what his exact role will be yet. If Triple H had it his way, Shawn would be in charge of putting the final polish on the NXT talent to make them into stars. Shawn knows exactly what it takes to become a top star and can help out tremendously.

Any role that HBK plays for the young talent in NXT and at the Performance Center will be incredible. Getting to learn from one of the greatest wrestlers of all time is invaluable. I also didn’t think Michaels would want to be the head coach or anything that involved training new wrestlers. I see him as a perfect learning tree for guys to take their skill set to the next level.

Just because someone was a great star does not necessarily mean they make a great coach.
