James Ellsworth has become WWE’s true underdog story. A jobber for Braun Strowman several weeks ago who quickly stole the WWE Universe’s heart with his now infamous line: “Any man with two hands has a fighting chance”. He became an internet sensation, so much that the WWE decided to bring him back.
And not just for another squash match, he was given a shot against AJ Styles for the WWE World Championship. The two main evented this weeks episode of Smackdown LIVE where he was able to defeat AJ Styles (by DQ).
James Ellsworth took to Twitter after the match to thank all the fans for their support:
I would never be anywhere without the #WWEUniverse Thank you all for the love and support, without you there’s no @WWE title match for me
