Vince Russo Took Issue With Some Of Sasha Banks’ Comments Regarding The ‘Bra and Panties’ Matches

Sasha Banks cut a promo on RAW this week talking about the evolution of Women’s wrestling that the WWE has seen over the past year or so. No longer were women were fighting over the butterfly belt or in bra and panties matches as they are now considered superstars like the men. Former WCW and WWE writer Vince Russo had some issues with her comments.

Russo says he is a Banks fan but he feels like some of her comments were slighting the talented women that came before her. The female talents were not the ones booking the bra and panties matches during this time period. Russo (and the other heads of WWE/WCW) were doing the booking to try to win the Monday Night Wars.

Let us know what you think of his comments below! I agree with Russo on the point that it wasn’t the female talents faults for being in the ‘bra and panty’ type matches. This was the Attitude Era and they were being booked like that. It was either comply or lose your job.
