Lance Storm Talks About Finn Balor’s Injury and Not Liking Seth Rollins’ Buckle Bomb

Finn Balor was injured at Summerslam in his match against Seth Rollins. Much debate has been made in the wrestling world if Seth’s buckle bomb should be banned or not. Bret Hart was vocal this week, saying that Seth needs to change-up his wrestling style in order to avoid hurting people. This comes after a freak accident that broke John Cena’s nose and his buckle bomb that ended the career of Sting (another freak accident).

Former WWE and WCW star Lance Storm was recently on Wrestling Observer Radio where he spoke about the Finn Balor injury at Summerslam

Storm says the buckle bomb that injured Balor left too little room for error:

“When you’re throwing someone backwards at stuff who is partially obstructed… I’ve seen guys, if you come a little short, they bang their head on the barricade, too high you hit your back and fold yourself the wrong way” (Source: WOR).

Storm says that he prefers with high risk moves that the person performing the move is at risk and not the taker. He cites Tommy Dreamer as a guy who would do risky things but the impact was always on him:

“When your moves have a high risk but the risk is on you, I don’t mind it as much. But when you’re throwing guys backwards, the risk is all on him and I don’t like stuff like that. I didn’t like it when Sting took the buckle-bomb, and I don’t like it when other guys take the buckle bomb” (Source: WOR).
