Randy Orton Injury Update – Graphic Photo (Warning), If He Bladed

Brock Lesnar defeated Randy Orton via TKO at Summerslam. The ref was forced to stop the match after Randy was bleeding profusely from his forehead. This was a strange ending and had many fans wondering what happened. The WWE has updated fans on Orton’s status on their website, saying that Randy needed a lot of staples to close the cut on his head.

Here is what they posted:

“WWE.com has learned that Randy Orton has received 10 staples to close a laceration on his forehead following the brutal assault by Brock Lesnar that resulted in a TKO at SummerSlam” (Source: WWE.com).

Ouch, 10 staples to the head. Some fans think that Randy ‘bladed’ to cause the cut. After watching the match back, it looks like a vicious elbow from Lesnar did the trick.

  1. You clearly see Randy covering his head during all of those hits from Lesnar. He had plenty of time and perfect placement to blade. And besides they called it on the Pre-show “somebodies gonna bleed tonight!” The WWE isn’t that clever.

    • Kristie, thanks – that is exactly what happened. He covered and bladed, iit was a total “work” but it appears most fans are getting “worked”.
