Survivor Series has come and the dust has settled but the WWF’s worst nightmares have come to pass. WCW President Eric Bischoff and WCW Owner Shane McMahon now run the WWF as 50-50 owners but there is still one McMahon left who puts a stop to Bischoff and Shane when they reveal a deal months in the making. But while the battle for ownership over the WWF commences Stone Cold Steve Austin looks for revenge on Chris Jericho after turning his back on the WWF at Survivor Series. The nWo now must face consequences for there actions from Survivor Series and The Rock and DDP continue to fight over who the real People’s Champion is…but with all of the battles going on between the WWF and WCW, Vengeance becomes a chance for Vengeance not only for the WWF but a chance to make history…
Vengeance 2001

The one night 4 man single elimination tournament to crown the first ever Undisputed Champion (The WWF Championship Match The WWF’s Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) defends against Chris Jericho and The WCW World Championship Match WCW’s DDP (c) defends against The WWF’s The Rock)
– The night after Survivor Series on Raw, Paul Heyman opened up the show cutting a promo and quit the WWF as he refused to work under Eric Bischoff which leads to Heyman leaving and Bischoff comes out cutting a promo and telling J.R that he would not leave him to commentate the whole show since he needs some one to carry his ass which leads to Bischoff announcing Heyman’s replacement to be the returning Jerry The King Lawler. Bischoff, Shane McMahon and the WCW World Champion DDP came out to the ring mid-way through the show as Bischoff proceeded to cut a promo to make a major announcement as Bischoff proceeded to announce that as part of the deal he and Shane McMahon cut to bring him into the WWF and now that they are the co owners of the WWF, Bischoff proceeds to announce that earlier today Shane had agreed to sell the 50% that they won at Survivor Series to make Eric Bischoff the sole owner of the WWF while Bischoff agreed he would give control of Smackdown over to WCW and was about to announce DDP’s new number one contender for the WCW World Championship until the old “My Time” song of Triple H’s played which brought out Stephanie McMahon as Stephanie entered the ring and proceeded to cut a promo telling Bischoff that he can not give Smackdown over to Shane because he does not own all 100% of the WWF as Stephanie proceeds to announce before Survivor Series that she was able to buy 25% of the WWF from her father before Survivor Series that all Shane sold Bischoff was his own 25% as Stephanie tells Bischoff that the 25% she has still gives her the power to make decisions in the WWF and announces that DDP’s real number one contender will be a old friend of his as The Rock’s music hits and The Rock sprints out to the ring and The Rock starts a brawl with DDP but then Shane tries to attack The Rock allowing Bischoff and DDP time to get out of the ring but The Rock hits the 3 punches knocking Shane into the ropes before hitting the Spinebuster and then the People’s Elbow as The Rock and Stephanie had a little bit of a staredown with Stephanie smirking from ear to ear. Later in the night Chris Jericho cut a promo explaining why he turned on the WWF at Survivor Series by saying he had been screwed over by the WWF during this war and by Stone Cold Steve Austin blaming him for why he is not the WWF Champion and why they lost the WWF Tag Team Championships and that he is the biggest star in the company and that he should be the WWF Champion which leads to Stephanie coming out on the stage and cutting a promo pissed at Jericho for what he did at Survivor Series before putting him into a match on the spot with Kurt Angle. Jericho ends up defeating Angle by countering the Ankle Lock into a roll up but as Jericho was going up the ramp Stone Cold came out on the ramp and when Jericho turned around Austin decked him with a right hand as Austin tried to beat down on Jericho more but Jericho was able to escape after raking Austin in the eyes as Jericho escaped through the crowd.
– Later that week on Smackdown, Eric Bischoff came out to open up Smackdown and cuts a promo wishing everyone a happy thankgiving and talks about what Stephanie did on Raw and how she embarassed him, her brother and the WCW World Champion Diamond Dallas Page as Bischoff proceeds to announce at Vengeance his beginning of unifying the titles because he feels there are too many damn titles when Edge faces Booker T in a unification match for the WCW United States and WWF Intercontinental Championship and the main event would be the WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin vs the WCW World Champion Diamond Dallas Page to unify the WWF and WCW Titles before Stephanie McMahon’s music hits as Stephanie comes out and Stephanie enters the ring proceeds to cut a promo about her actions on Raw telling Bischoff that the WWF embarassed WCW for a long time during the Monday Night Wars so she had no problem embarassing him on Raw and she actually agrees with the idea of unifying the titles but she proceeds to announce that it will not be Stone Cold vs DDP at Vengeance but instead she proposes that Stone Cold defends the WWF Championship against Chris Jericho and DDP defends the WCW World Championship against the number one contender she announced on Raw, The Rock and then on the same night at Vengeance the winners of those two matches face each other for the undisputed championship as Eric Bischoff actually smirks ear to ear and agrees with Stephanie and offers to shake hands and says that “Maybe it won’t be so bad after all if we work together” but Stephanie proceeds to slap the taste out of Bischoff’s mouth before leaving with a smirk on her face. WCW and WWF Commissioner William Regal comes out to the ring later in the show and talks about WCW’s victory over the WWF at Survivor Series before he is interrupted by Stone Cold Steve Austin as Austin made his way out to the ring and as soon as he entered the ring Austin hit Regal with the Stone Cold Stunner. Austin proceeded to pick up the mic and cut a promo about Survivor Series and the nWo promising that one of these days he will make there lives a living hell and there won’t be a damn thing they can do about it before Austin calls out Chris Jericho so he can stomp a mudhole in his ass before Vengeance, Chris Jericho’s music hits and after the pyro hits Jericho is revealed not to be on the stage but instead he sneaks in behind Austin and low blows Austin and proceeds to beat him down before locking him in the Walls of Jericho on top of the commentary table as it takes numerous WWF officials to get Jericho off of Austin. In the main event DDP teamed with the unified WWF Tag Team Champions The Flithy Animals against The Rock and The Hardy Boyz as DDP and The Animals won the match after DDP pinned Matt Hardy after hitting the Diamond Cutter.
– The following week on Raw, Chris Jericho comes out to the ring and cuts a promo about Vengeance proclaiming that when he wins the Undisputed Championship he will solidify himself as a Larger Then Life Living Legend and that he is going to prove the one thing that he knows Stone Cold Steve Austin can not do and that is beat him one on one which leads to Stone Cold Steve Austin’s music hitting as Austin comes out on the stage and Austin cuts a promo telling Jericho that he did get one over on him at Smackdown and that any other night he would come down to the ring and stomp a mudhole in his ass but that he is going to wait until Vengeance to whoop his meli mouth wanna be rock star ass and then he is going to beat either The Rock or DDP’s ass become the Undisputed Champion and that was the bottom line because Stone Cold Said So. Later that night Eric Bischoff comes out to the ring with the WCW World Champion DDP and Bischoff cuts a promo calling out Stephanie McMahon and Stephanie makes her entrance and enters the ring and Bischoff tries to get Stephanie to remove The Rock from the Undisputed Championship tournament at Vengeance but Stephanie refuses leading to Bischoff announcing since he has 75% control of the WWF that Stephanie would be in a match right now leading to Bischoff calling for a referee and announces that match would be right now against the WCW World Champion Diamond Dallas Page and Page grabs Stephanie and puts her in the Diamond Cutter position but The Rock’s music hits and The Rock sprints to the ring and enters the ring as he gets into another brawl with DDP as Bischoff escapes and The Rock hits the spinebuster and is about to hit the People’s Elbow but as he is running the ropes Ric Flair trips up The Rock as Flair gets in the ring as he and DDP beat down The Rock as Flair locks The Rock in the Figure 4 Leglock and The Rock starts to fight out of it until DDP whacks him in the head with the WCW World Title as The Rock is knocked out cold until Flair finally lets go as Raw ends with DDP and Flair standing tall over the fallen Rock.
– Later that week on Smackdown, Eric Bischoff came out to the ring and confronted Trish Stratus before her scheudled Women’s Title match with Jazz as Bischoff reminds everyone of the history between Trish and Vince earlier in the year and about how he was dissapointed that Trish was not in her Bra and Panties on Raw, Bischoff tells Trish if she wants a Womens Title match then she needs to give him a taste of what he is ordering her to do as the owner of the WWF after the show as he backs Trish into a corner and puckers his lips before closing his eyes but then The Rock’s music hits as The Rock makes his entrance with Bischoff looking on in sheer horror as The Rock enters the ring as The Rock gets Trish out of the ring before The Rock cuts a promo on Bischoff as The Rock talks his trash telling Bischoff he wanted him to know what it was like to feel humilated before saying there was one more thing he wanted to say before giving Bischoff the Rock Bottom and then hits Bischoff with the Rock Bottom before DDP runs down to the ring and attacks The Rock as The Rock fights back but Ric Flair runs down to the ring and low blows The Rock as DDP and Flair beat The Rock down again as DDP hits The Rock with the People’s Elbow with a steel chair lacerating The Rock’s cheek as Flair tells The Rock that now he knows who the real People’s Champion is and that’s D..D..P as DDP, Flair and a recovered Bischoff stand tall over The Rock. In the main event Stone Cold Steve Austin faced William Regal in a Strap Match which Austin won after touching all 4 corners but after the match Chris Jericho and the WCW United States Champion Booker T came down and attacked Austin until Edge comes down to the ring and helps Austin fight off Y2J and Booker as Smackdown ended with Austin actually sharing a beer with Edge
– On the last Raw before Vengeance, Stone Cold Steve Austin comes out to open up Raw and cuts a promo about Vengeance talking about how he is going beat the hell out of Chris Jericho all around the damn ring and then he does not give a damn if it’s The Rock or if it’s Diamond Dallas Page because the bottom line is Stone Cold would be walking out of Vengeance the undisputed champion until suddenly Eric Bischoff’s music hit as Bischoff would cut a promo talking about the lack of respect Stone Cold has for DDP and the WCW World Championship which leads to Bischoff booking a dream match for later that night between the WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin and the 16-Time World Champion Ric Flair. Later in the night Stone Cold and Flair have there match and Austin hits Flair with the Stunner but then Chris Jericho appears on the titantron hot-wiring Austin’s pick-up truck and drives away in it leading to Austin leaving the ring and leaves the arena chasing after Jericho in another veichle as Flair won the match by count out. After that match Eric Bischoff and the WCW World Champion DDP come out to the ring as Bischoff cuts a promo about how they should be respecting him and demands a aplogoy from The Rock for what he did to him on Smackdown as The Rock comes out and The Rock cuts a promo not aplogizing and tells Bischoff to kiss the People’s Ass which leads to Bischoff announcing a tag team match between himself and DDP vs The Rock and his tag team partner being none other then…Trish Stratus and Eric says when they win that The Rock must kiss Bischoff’s ass on Smackdown which leads to Stephanie McMahon’s music hitting as Stephanie comes out on the stage cutting a promo telling Bischoff that after the stunt he tried to pull last week and on Smackdown she has a much better idea and that is if The Rock/Trish win tonight then Trish Stratus will get the WWF Womens Championship Match that Eric robbed her off on Smackdown and that if they do lose then Bischoff must kiss The Rock’s ass as DDP takes the mic and says they have a deal which makes Bischoff furious. In the main event The Rock and Trish defeated DDP and Bischoff when after Bischoff chased Trish away from ringside Stone Cold returned and stalked Bischoff back to ringside as he pounded away on Bischoff before hitting DDP as Austin threw Bischoff back in the ring leading to The Rock hitting The Rock Bottom on Bischoff before pinning Bischoff as Raw ended with The Rock staring down Bischoff as The Rock smiled and made the pucker face at Bischoff.
– On the final Smackdown before Vengeance, The Rock made his way out to the ring cutting a promo about Chicago being famous for many things and how it would now be famous for Eric Bischoff kissing The Rock’s ass which leads to The Rock calling out Bischoff and Bischoff refuses to kiss The Rock’s ass until Stone Cold Steve Austin appears on the big screen yelling “WHAT?” and Stone Cold tells Bischoff that if he had a back up plan then his back up plan just got the hell beaten out of him as we see the camera widen and DDP is beaten down to the floor as Austin kicks at DDP again before Stone Cold said he made sure he came to Chicago to see Bischoff kiss The Rock’s ass which leads to Stephanie McMahon appearing on the stage and announcing if one member of WCW tries to interrupt Bischoff kissing The Rock’s ass then she will use the power she still has to fire each and every one of them. The Rock gets Bischoff on his knees and pulls one side of his pants down as Bischoff is looking away in horror before The Rock says Bischoff’s lips are not good enough to kiss The Rock’s ass which leads to Rock telling Bischoff the ass he would kiss would be a slobberknocker which leads to Jim Ross coming out as Bischoff looks even more horrified as Ross puts his cowboy hat on Bischoff’s head and sticks his ass out and slaps it before The Rock changes plans again saying he is not going to kiss Jim Ross’s ass as Ross leaves the ring going to the announce table as The Rock tells Bischoff the ass he will kiss will give him nothing but Stratusfaction which leads to Trish Stratus coming out as Bischoff looks very happy he is going to kiss Trish’s ass as Rock gives Bischoff some chapstick as Bischoff applys the chapstick and Trish lowers the back of her pants as Bischoff crawls over to Trish before The Rock stops him and asks him “What in the blue hell do you think you’re doing you sick freak?” as The Rock tells Bischoff he won’t be kissing Trish’s ass, J’R’s ass or The Rock’s ass because he has one ass he has choosen especially for Bischoff which leads to the surprise return of Rikishi coming out to the “Too Cool” music as Rikishi enters the ring and bends over right in front of Bischoff as Bischoff flat out refused to kiss Rikishi’s ass until The Rock hits Bischoff with a hard rock bottom before The Rock shoves Bischoff’s entire head up Rikishi’s ass and rubs it in for about 10 seconds. Later in the night in the main event The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin teamed up to face DDP and Chris Jericho as the match went to a no contest when The Rock had Jericho in the Sharpshooter but Jericho was able to get out of it and sent The Rock into DDP who tried to save Jericho which leads to DDP getting back in the ring and laying Jericho out with the Diamond Cutter as Stone Cold sneaks into the ring and hits DDP with the Stone Cold Stunner as the match was thrown out leading to Stone Cold and The Rock staring down with The Rock holding the WWF Title before giving it to Austin as Austin gives The Rock a beer and the two share a toast before Austin gives The Rock a Stone Cold Stunner showing it really is every man for themselves at Vengeance as Austin celebrates with beers as DDP is now sitting on the stage holding his WCW World Title while Austin responds by holding up the WWF Title as Smackdown ends
Tag Team Match The WWF’s The Brothers of Destruction *The Undertaker and Kane* vs WCW’s The Outsiders *Kevin Nash and Scott Hall* w/Hollywood Hulk Hogan
– The night after Survivor Series on Raw, Hollywood Hulk Hogan came out toward the end of Raw cutting a promo about how great it was to be back in the WWF as Hogan talks about the past memories of him being in the WWF when he bodyslammed Andre The Giant at WrestleMania 3 before talking about how the fans turned on him and that the fans drove him out of the WWF and that they could all kiss his ass as Hogan proceeds to talk about how everybody thinks Stone Cold Steve Austin has become a bigger star but that the truth of the matter is there will never be a bigger star in wrestling past, present or future then Hollywood Hulk Hogan which leads to the glass shattering as Stone Cold Steve Austin was coming down the ramp only to be attacked from behind by Hall and Nash as Austin tried to fight off the nWo and got away ffrom The Outsiders to get in the ring and almost got his hands on Hogan but The Outsiders stopped Austin again as the nWo beat down Austin in the ring and Nash hit the Jacknife on Austin as the nWo dragged Austin to the ring post as Hogan left the ring and grabbed a steel chair as Hall was holding Austin’s leg against the ring post while Nash was holding Austin’s arms in the ring and was about the smash the chair over Austin’s leg until the lights went out and Kane’s fire pyro hit as The Undertaker’s music then hit as The Brothers of Destruction made there way out to the ring and entered the ring but Nash left the ring as the nWo end up going the ramp with smirks on there faces like “we did what we set out to do” as Raw ended with The Outsiders holding up the Kliq sign as The Brothers of Destruction stared down the nWo
– Later that week on Smackdown, The Brothers of Destruction defeated the former WCW World Tag Team Champions Sean O’Hare and Chuck Palumbo and after the match The Undertaker grabbed a mic and cut a promo about the nWo saying that he does not like getting screwed over and played around with when Vince McMahon said the nWo was here to help the WWF and unfortunley that gamble cost him the ownership of the WWF. Taker proceeds to say that Vince no longer may be here but he and Kane are still here and they were still going to fight until the nWo and WCW are out of the WWF once and for all as Taker proceeds to call out the nWo and specfically Hollywood Hulk Hogan because he heard how Hogan calls himself the biggest star in wrestling and that the fans drove him out of the WWF when in reality the fans did not drive Hogan out of the WWF but the WWF became his yard so Taker challenges Hogan to a match at Vengeance. The nWo music hits and the nWo appear on the big screen with the nWo logo behind them as Hogan proceeds to cut a promo telling The Undertaker that as the biggest star that wrestling has ever seen The Undertaker does not decide when Hollywood Hulk Hogan steps back into the ring because in fact it will be Hollywood Hulk Hogan deciding when he wants to step back inside the ring which leads to Hall taking over the talking as Hall cuts a promo about The Brothers of Destruction and since the nWo are the greatest thing ever to happen to wrestling Hall challenges Taker and Kane to face him and his big buddy Kevin Nash at Vengeance and Nash takes over the final part of the talking telling Taker and Kane they are going to do whatever the hell the nWo wants to do and if they want them at Vengeance they are going to realize that from now on in the WWF that the nWo and WCW are the only way to go and it will be the only way to go 4 Life as the nWo music hits and over the weekend it was announced on WWF.Com that Taker and Kane had accepted The Outsiders challenge for Vengeance.

The nWo music hit as Hollywood Hulk Hogan drove The Undertaker’s bike out to the ring as Hogan sat on the bike cutting a promo talking about how The Undertaker calls himself the American Badass but if he was such a badass then he should come down right now and try taking his back from him as The Undertaker’s music hits as Taker comes out on the stage as his music stops Taker with a mic telling Hogan he should know never to touch another man’s bike and then threatens Hogan to give him his bike back or he will beat his ass off that bike and then run him over with it as Hogan says all Taker does is make empty threats which leads to Taker start walking toward the ring as Hogan tries to tell Taker to stop or he will run him over as Taker is approaching Hogan has trouble starting the bike and Taker gets his hand around Hogan’s throat as Hogan tells Taker while he is being choked he should be more worried about his brother then him as on the titantron The Outsiders are shown beating down Kane in his locker room and while Taker is distracted Hogan who was hiding a can of spray paint in his jacket takes it out and Hogan gets off the bike to hit Taker in the back of the head with the can of spray paint as Hogan gets back on the bike and drives backstage while Taker is recovering as the camera followed Hogan to the back as he parks the bike and gets into a big trailor truck as Hogan proceeds to run over the bike destroying as Taker is watching it pissed off as Hogan gets out of the truck and rejoins The Outsiders as they leave the arena in a nWo limo as Taker finally arrives backstage pissed off as hell and he throws a guy out of his car to follow the nWo’s limo.
– Later that week on Smackdown, The Undertaker and Kane arrive at the building intent on getting revenge on the nWo and they see the nWo protected by a wall of police officers as the nWo taunt Kane and Taker about being unable to get there hands on them due to the cops as Hall even taunts Kane and Taker about there dead parents leading to Kane and Taker each laying out a police officer before they are taken down by the officers who end up arresting Kane and Taker as the nWo watch laughing as Hogan tells Hall and Nash “Come on boys let’s have some fun tonight”. Later that night the nWo proves there point about doing whatever the hell they want to do and having “fun” when they attack Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert during there tag team match against The Impact Players as when The Impact Players saw the nWo coming they even know to high tail it even though they were on the same side of WCW as the nWo attack Albert and Scotty as Hall hits Scotty 2 Hotty with the Outsiders Edge and Nash hits Albert with the Jacknife Powerbomb as Hogan watched at ringside smirking from ear to ear as he got in the ring as The Outsiders ended up spray painting the backs of Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert with the letters “nWo” as the nWo stood tall in the ring with there music playing as J.R and Jerry Lawler on commentary talking about how the nWo and The Outsiders will have to contend with The Brothers of Destruction at Vengeance.
– The following week on the last Raw before Vengeance, The nWo would once again prove there point about doing whatever the hell they want when they attacked Tajiri and Spike Dudley after they lost to the unified WWF Tag Team Champions The Flithy Animals as The Outsiders beat them down as Nash laid out Spike with the Jacknife Powerbomb and Hall laid out Tajiri with the Outsiders Edge before Kane’s fire pyro hit as The Undertaker’s music hit as The Brothers of Destruction made there way out on the stage as Hogan entered the ring to join The Outsiders as The B-O-D entered the ring as The B-O-D and The Outsiders got into a brawl as Hogan got out of the ring as The Brothers of Destruction actually got the upper hand as Taker was able to clothesline Nash out of the ring as Hall had gotten the upper hand on Kane with a low blow and was setting up the Outsiders Edge but Taker got his hand around Hall’s throat but then Hogan got on the apron as Taker threw Hall to the side and went to take a cheap shot at Hogan but Hogan got off the apron quickly as Nash was able to pull Hall out of the ring as the nWo went up the ramp looking pissed off as The Brothers of Destruction stood tall in the ring with Taker’s music playing. Later that week on Smackdown, The nWo come out to the ring as Hogan does the talking cutting a promo announcing that he will be in Hall and Nash’s corner at Vengeance when they take on The Brothers of Destruction and Hogan is then interrupted by The Undertaker being on the big screen standing in the parking lot as Taker cuts a promo telling Hogan he is happy to see Hogan grow a set to be at ringside to see the ass kicking Hall and Nash will take but then Taker reminds Hogan of how he destroyed his bike last week on Raw as Taker then brings a steel pipe with the camera widening to show Kane as Taker says that since they destroyed his property it’s only fair that they destroy there property as Taker and Kane turn around and the camera shows they are standing in front of the nWo limo as Taker and Kane proceed with there steel pipes to destroy the nWo limo as they smash out just about every window with the nWo flipping out in the ring as Taker puts the finishing touches on the destruction by spray painting the side of the limo with red spray paint with the letters “BOD” as Taker and Kane look at the damage as Taker smirks and looks back at the camera and tells the nWo “see you at Vengeance” before they leave with the nWo’s limo having been absolutely destroyed.
Hardcore Match for the WWF Hardcore Championship The WWF’s Rob Van Dam (c) defends against WCW’s Sting
– The night after Survivor Series on Raw, Mike Awesome and members of WCW who were in the 20 Man Hardcore Battle Royal at Survivor Series confront Sting in the WCW locker room with Mike Awesome being the mouthpiece telling Sting that he and the rest of WCW thinks it’s time to cut RVD loose from WCW saying that RVD is not one of them anymore and that he has gone into business for himself as Awesome even volunteers to face RVD for the Hardcore Championship on that same night as Sting looks on and tells Awesome he hears what he is saying and that he knows RVD has been a problem lately as Sting tells Awesome to go talk to Eric Bischoff to see if he can make the match happen and as the rest of the WCW roster leaves Sting tells Awesome to hang back because of something he wants to tell him. Later that night RVD ends up defending the WWF Hardcore Championship against Mike Awesome and RVD retains the title after hitting a Van Daminator and a Five Star Frog Splash and after the match Sting makes his way out to the ring and enters the ring and stares down RVD before seeing Awesome get up and Sting goes over and actually grabs Awesome and hits him with the Scorpion Death Drop as Sting stands over Awesome and says something into his ear before leaving the ring with RVD looking very confused as was J.R and Jerry Lawler on commentary. Later that week on Smackdown, RVD confronts Sting backstage about his actions on Monday Night Raw as Sting tells RVD that he does not to have “problems in the family” as Sting tells RVD that he talked to Eric Bischoff and since Bischoff wants to unify titles Sting informs RVD that he would face Bradshaw on Raw in a unifciation match for both the WWF Hardcore and European Championships as Sting leaves to have his match with Mike Awesome after what happened on Raw as Sting ends up defeating Awesome later in the night and after the match Sting continues to attack Awesome and grabs the bat but then RVD comes out and gets in between Sting and Awesome as Sting just has a smirk on his face as he leaves the ring.
– The following week on Raw, Rob Van Dam ends up successfully unifying the WWF Hardcore and WWF European Championships defeating the European Champion Bradshaw in a Hardcore Match when Bradshaw had RVD set up for the clothesline from hell Sting came down to the ring and when Bradshaw was going to bounce off the ropes Sting whacked Bradshaw in the back leading to a confused RVD by Sting’s actions to hit a Five Star Frog Splash to Bradshaw for the victory as Sting raised RVD’s arm but RVD refused to let Sting raise his arm as RVD left the ring very confused at the recent actions of Sting and in a backstage segment after the match Mike Awesome was interviewed by Johnathon Coachman as Awesome cut a promo challenging RVD to a straight up wrestling match on Smackdown and said if Sting got involved he would break him in half. Later that week on Smackdown, RVD faced Awesome in the singles match with Sting at ringside as RVD got the upper hand and went up top for the Five Star Frog Splash, Sting got on the apron and whacked RVD in the back with the bat knocking him off the top rope as the referee called for the bell causing a DQ as Sting proceeded to beat down RVD as Awesome left the ring and brought a table out from under the ring and set it up as Sting choked out RVD with the bat in the ring as Awesome got back in the ring and Sting picked up RVD and threw him at Awesome as Awesome kicked RVD in the gut and Awesome hit a running Awesome Bomb sending RVD over the top rope and through the table as Sting and Mike Awesome stood tall over RVD as Sting’s music was playing as Sting was pointing the bat down at the fallen RVD.
– The following week on the last Raw before Vengeance, Sting came out and cut a promo about why he kicked RVD out of WCW as Sting’s explanation that he was sick and tired of seeing RVD go into business for himself and that he needed to cut the selfish brat away from the family because the reason WCW is in control of the WWF right now is because they did it like a family and like a team yet RVD was more focused on RVD which leads to Sting to say if RVD wants to survive in the new WWF he better learn that we play with a whole new set of rules since Vince McMahon is now gone leading to Sting initally challenging RVD to a non title hardcore match at Vengeance as Sting ends up defeating Bradshaw after his promo but after the match as Sting was going up the ramp RVD came out on the stage wearing a WWF T-Shirt behind Sting and when Sting turned around RVD hit him right over the head with the Steel Chair as RVD stood over Sting and mouthed “I Accept” as RVD did his signature taunt. Later that week on Smackdown, it was announced before RVD’s Hardcore Title match with Mike Awesome that if RVD beat Awesome then his match with Sting would now be for the WWF Hardcore Championship as RVD proceeded to get his revenge on Awesome by defeating Awesome in a Hardcore Match but after the match Sting comes out of no where and attacks RVD as Sting proceeds to beat down RVD and rams him into the Smackdown set before hitting RVD in the gut with the baseball bat and then hitting the Scorpion Death Drop on the stage. Later that night Sting defeated Crash Holly in a squash match and as he was heading up the ramp out of nowhere RVD comes out and hits Sting with the Van Daminator as RVD stands tall over Sting.
Other Matches Include
Unification Match for the WWF Intercontinental and WCW United States Championships The WWF’s WWF Intercontinental Champion Edge vs WCW’s WCW United States Champion Booker T (The build for this was basically Bischoff wanted to start unifying titles so he put this match together as Booker and Edge basically said during the builds in the interviews they were going to unify the titles and prove that there company’s champion is the better champion)
6-Person Tag Team Match The WWF’s The Hardy Boyz and Lita vs WCW’s Unified WWF Tag Team Champions The Filthy Animals *WCW Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio Jr* and Torrie Wilson (The build for this match was basically around the fact that Matt seemed more interested and distracted by Torrie then being interested in Lita and helping his brother Jeff)
WWF Women’s Championship Match WCW’s Jazz (c) defends against The WWF’s Trish Stratus (The build for this match was mainly Trish having to earn a Women’s Title Match against Jazz)
Submission Match WCW’s “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner vs The WWF’s Kurt Angle (The build for this was Steiner wanting revenge for Survivor Series and wanting to prove the Steiner Recliner is better then the Ankle Lock)
Nice card. 🙂 Though I wonder, are PPVs during this stretch going to be recognized as WWF/WCW PPVs?
MAYBE…just MAYBE that will happen
